Personnel and Visiting Scholars
The Foundation personnel each support our daily operations and efforts by area(s) of expertise as well as across our organization mirroring our holistic approach to the work we undertake. In addition, we invite Visiting Scholars on a range of subject-matters who wish to engage with the Foundation to confront emerging problems and questions. Elizabeth Carufel was raised in the Phoenix Valley, then moved to Hawaii in 2015 to attend university. She graduated from Shidler College of Business with a double major in management and international business. Elizabeth will be continuing her education in Dubai for a Master’s degree, specializing in project management. Community involvement has always been a priority and exercised through various community service projects. Currently, she is finishing her Po'okela Fellows Internship with the City and County of Honolulu.

Kenneth Chandler is a Rio Grande Valley based entrepreneur whose focus covers real estate investment. Raised in a real estate family, the Texas native graduated from Shidler College of Business with a bachelor’s in finance. He is an avid humanitarian who does relief work throughout central America and enthusiastic member of the community.

Michael is involved with the Marawi Project, taking responsibility for marketing programs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Shidler College of Business. Being born and raised in China, he always holds a different perspective in regard to different situations and helps leverage the international element of diversity.
